Expo Home Improvement CEO, Paul Dietzler who is named one of the top industry CEOs in the country.
January, 2025 – Power100, the nation’s leading authority on ranking top home improvement CEOs using a proprietary 5-layer ranking system, proudly announces that Paul Dietzler, Owner and CEO of Expo Home Improvement, has been recognized as a top-ranked CEO in the home improvement industry. This prestigious recognition reflects Dietzler’s exceptional leadership, visionary approach to customer service, and unwavering commitment to community impact.
Transforming an Industry Through Hospitality-Driven Leadership
Since acquiring Window Expo in 2012, Paul Dietzler has revolutionized the home improvement industry by applying principles of hospitality-driven service. What started as a small $2.5 million company with five employees has evolved into a multi-market powerhouse with over 300 team members across four major Texas markets, including Dallas-Fort Worth, East Texas, Central Texas, and San Antonio.
“I am honored to be recognized by Power100 as a top CEO, and this achievement is a reflection of the incredible team at Expo Home Improvement. We are dedicated to setting new standards in the industry, and this recognition motivates us to continue our pursuit of excellence,” said Paul Dietzler, CEO of Expo Home Improvement.
Dietzler’s professional journey reflects his commitment to bridging industries. After a successful career in hotel building and management, where he developed his passion for exceptional customer service, he made a strategic pivot to home improvement. Armed with a degree in Economics and Business Economics from the University of Minnesota-Morris, Dietzler recognized an opportunity to apply hospitality principles to residential remodeling.
“If I could bring hospitality to the home improvement industry, we ought to be able to grow this small company,” Dietzler explained during a recent interview on Chasing The Margin Podcast. “Our vision for Expo Home Improvement is improving homes and transforming lives. We’re not just there to do a home improvement project—we’re going into a personal situation. It’s their home, and so we just want to be respectful of them and build relationships over time.”
Business Growth Rooted in Customer-First Operations
Expo Home Improvement has earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and boasts thousands of 5-star customer reviews. The company’s comprehensive service offerings include bathroom remodeling, window replacement, door replacement, and kitchen cabinet refacing—all delivered with what the company describes as a “5-Star Experience.”
The company’s growth trajectory is remarkable: from a regional player focused solely on vinyl window replacements to a comprehensive home improvement provider spanning four major Texas markets. This expansion demonstrates Dietzler’s strategic vision and his team’s ability to scale operations without sacrificing the customer-centric values that define the brand.
“We really relied upon making sure that each job was done correctly, that the customer was satisfied, and we really focused on that referral business,” Dietzler noted. “When we continued to win day after day on the delivery side, lead generation and finding new customers became easier over time.”
Leadership with Purpose: Building Culture and Community Impact
What sets Dietzler apart among home improvement leaders is his integration of purpose-driven leadership into business operations. In 2024, Expo Home Improvement revealed a unique position: a Chief Ministry Officer—a role filled by seasoned pastor Scott Hall—who guides leadership development and company culture.
“We’ve got an amazing culture at Expo Home Improvement now,” Dietzler shared. “We’re developing hospitality leaders within our company that want to serve our team members and serve our customers well. Having somebody on the inside of the leadership team to counsel and guide our team members has been an absolute game-changer for us.”
This commitment to culture has earned Dietzler recognition as a partner-aligned leader. When COVID-19 struck, Michael, who serves as President and Chief Operating Officer, and his wife Kathy joined Paul and his wife Jackie as partners in Expo Home Improvement. The partnership reflects Dietzler’s belief that “all resources belong to God” and that leadership should be rooted in shared kingdom-aligned values.
“I’ve got strengths that he doesn’t have, and he’s got strengths that I don’t have,” Dietzler explained. “The biggest single thing was we’re kingdom-aligned in terms of why we’re doing what we’re doing, and we’ve been in partnership for five years without a single day of partnership conflict.”
Beyond Business: Community Engagement and Philanthropy
Dietzler’s influence extends well beyond Expo Home Improvement. He co-founded Collective Way, a nonprofit initiative that brings together business leaders and local organizations to drive global impact. Through partnerships with organizations like Journey to Dream, Expo Home Improvement has donated windows and services to support youth housing initiatives, exemplifying the company’s vision of improving homes and transforming lives.
Additionally, Dietzler and his wife Jackie co-own Cerulean Blue Coffee House in Flower Mound, Texas—a community hub built around premium coffee and global impact. The café features direct-trade relationships with coffee farmers in Guatemala and Honduras, with a commitment to donate a water filter system for every 10 pounds of coffee served, demonstrating Dietzler’s commitment to meaningful business practices.
