A New Home for Home Improvement Sales: Grosso University Opens the Doors to Its Windsor Training Center and a New Chapter for Contractors Across America

Power100 celebrates the official Grand Opening of the Grosso University Training Center, led by CEO and Founder Dominic Caminata, and explains why a dedicated campus built for contractors matters to sales teams, owners, partners, and the home improvement industry at large

Power100, the only unbiased third-party platform that ranks the best leaders and partners in the home improvement industry using a proprietary 5-layer ranking system, is celebrating today’s Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the new Grosso University Training Center in Windsor, Wisconsin, just north of Madison.

The celebration takes place today, Monday, October 26, 2026, at 4300 Duraform Lane, Suite B, in Windsor. Doors open at 2:00 PM Central, and the ribbon cutting follows at 2:30 PM. The event is free and open to everyone: contractors, sales professionals, business owners, clients, partners, friends, family and anyone who wants to see what Grosso University is all about.

Grosso University is joined by the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, the DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce, the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce, NARI of Madison, Inc. and Habitat for Humanity. Guests can expect food, music, facility tours, raffles, giveaways, Grosso swag, networking and a “Tools for Tomorrow” tool drive that gives back to families in the community.

For Power100, this is far more than a ribbon cutting. Grosso University is ranked by Power100 as the #1 Sales Training Organization in the home improvement industry and the #3 Preferred Partner in the United States for 2026, after Power100 researched and analyzed more than 3,600 partners serving contractors nationwide. The company has helped sales teams generate more than $500 million in home improvement sales, and it now has a permanent home built entirely around helping those teams grow.

“In every category we measure, close rate lift, revenue growth, culture, and consistency, Grosso University kept rising to the top,” said Greg Cummings, CEO of Power100. “They’re not just training reps; they’re installing systems that help contractors grow from a few million in revenue to $200 million and beyond.”

Dominic Caminata, CEO of Grosso University

Why does a ribbon cutting in Windsor matter to contractors in all 50 states?

The home improvement industry has always trained its salespeople in borrowed spaces: hotel ballrooms, resort conference rooms, the back office of a busy showroom. Those settings were never designed for the deep, focused learning that turns an average rep into a confident professional at the kitchen table.

Dominic Caminata wanted something different. He wanted a place where contractors and their teams could travel from across the country, step away from the noise of daily business, and commit fully to getting better.

“We really want to kind of reimagine training in this industry moving forward and having everybody travel across the country to come to our campus,” Dominic Caminata said. “We’re changing lives and that’s really what this is all about.”

That is why this opening matters to a roofer in Texas, a window contractor in Florida or an outdoor living company in Arizona. Grosso University serves contractors in all 50 states, Canada and Mexico through online, live Zoom, on-site and in-person training. The Windsor Training Center is now the hub that connects all of it.

The idea started at home, with Kellie Caminata‘s vision

Every great facility starts with a simple idea. For the Grosso University campus, that idea came from Kellie Caminata, Director of Events and Brand Experience at Grosso University and the wife of Dominic Caminata.

Dominic Caminata credits Kellie Caminata with sparking the idea of a dedicated campus instead of resort-style events. If people leave their families and pipelines to train, they deserve a place built for that purpose.

“At Grosso University, we believe that an extraordinary environment is the foundation for extraordinary growth,” said Kellie Caminata. “Our state-of-the-art Madison campus was intentionally constructed to remove corporate distractions and drive high-energy transformation. As your dedicated event partner, my team and I look forward to meticulously tailoring every detail of your visit to ensure a seamless, elite experience that inspires your team and delivers measurable results.”

When Dominic Caminata accepted his 2026 Business Elite’s 40 Under 40 award in New York with Kellie Caminata by his side, he reminded everyone that nobody achieves anything of significance alone. Today’s opening is that belief in action.

Inside the building: what contractors will find when they walk through the doors

The new Grosso University Training Center was designed around one question: what does a sales team need to learn, practice and perform at its best?

The modular training center seats up to 100 guests for classroom learning, role play, panels or high-energy events. The main training room and stage have screens, microphones, A/V support and fast Wi-Fi. A conference room, executive boardroom, flex office, private kitchen, two patios and dedicated parking make long days comfortable for guests who travel in.

The campus also houses Grosso Studios, a podcast room and a media control room, so training content, testimonials and podcast episodes are recorded in the same building where the training happens.

Most sales training organizations rent space. Grosso University is one of the few in home improvement to own a dedicated training campus. It tells contractors this company is not running a tour. It is building an institution.

The building has already proved itself. Closers Camp 2026, the company’s three-day competitive sales training camp, took place on the new campus in April with a virtual stream for teams that could not travel. Today’s Grand Opening makes it official and invites the whole community inside.

Grosso University Opens the Doors to Its Windsor Training Center

From the kitchen table to a campus of his own: the journey that led here

To understand why this building means so much, you have to understand the man behind it.

Dominic Caminata did not start out with a stage, a studio or a campus. He started in 2010 at Mad City Windows & Baths with no sales experience. He learned the business at the kitchen table, one homeowner and one appointment at a time. He became the company’s first million-dollar producer, earned Salesman of the Year honors, and later helped lead a team of more than 55 reps to a cumulative closing rate above 50 percent.

In 2011, a meeting changed the direction of his life.

“In 2011, when I was recognized as Salesman of the Year at Mad City, I met Rick Grosso and decided I didn’t just want to learn his system, I wanted to carry it forward,” said Dominic Caminata.

In 2019, he founded Grosso University to do exactly that. The company more than doubled its revenue from 2020 to 2021 and has since trained thousands of sales professionals across hundreds of companies, earning more than 403 five-star reviews.

“I always define myself as being selfishly selfless,” Dominic Caminata said. “What I mean by that is when I take on any role in my life, whether it be as a business owner, as a consultant for my clients, as a sales leader, if I pour my heart and soul into helping the people that I’m working with optimize their success in their life, my success will be an inevitable byproduct of that.”

The Windsor Training Center is that philosophy turned into a building.

What happens inside a Grosso University training day?

What makes Grosso University different from a motivational seminar is structure. At the center is the Grosso 11-step in-home selling system: rapport, inspection, uncovering real motivations, company story, product demonstration, value, clear price and financing, and a confident close without pressure. It is customized for roofing, windows, siding, bath and whole-home remodeling.

“Contractors don’t need more theory, they need a system their reps can run on every appointment,” Dominic Caminata said.

The campus brings that system to life through several connected programs:

  • The Sales Academy, the flagship in-home sales training platform, built to raise first-call close rates, standardize presentations and protect margins.
  • The Sales Leadership Academy, which trains owners and managers to coach, run better sales meetings, hold people accountable and build teams that can scale.
  • On-Site Training, which sends Grosso trainers into a contractor’s own market for ride-alongs and real-time coaching at the kitchen table.
  • Live, high-intensity events such as Closers Camp and Campamento de Ventas, now hosted at the campus with live streaming for remote teams.
  • An online training platform with hundreds of hours of recorded curriculum, so learning continues long after a team flies home.

“On-Site Training is where everything comes together,” said Matt Burke, COO of Grosso University. “We don’t just tell your team what to do, we get in the truck, ride to the appointment, sit at the kitchen table, and coach in real time.”

The campus strengthens those field programs. Contractors can send new hires or top performers to Windsor, then reinforce the same lessons at home through on-site coaching and online follow-up: a full learning loop rather than a one-time event.

“Give them the best training experience of their life. Period.”

Every company says it cares about the customer experience. Dominic Caminata has made it the standard his team lives by.

“Anytime you get an opportunity to train somebody, give them the best training experience of their life. Period. End of story,” Dominic Caminata said.

That standard explains why the campus feels the way it does, and why feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Metz Bizzell, Director of Partnerships at GreenSky, described the energy inside the building. He said it “screams health, wellness, motivation all over the walls,” has “a ton of energy,” and creates a culture where people are focused on studying, practicing and mastering the material.

Mike Biondino, Sales Manager at CAT Exteriors, called the facility “magnificent.” He said the industry needs “that platform that everybody can go to that gets that one call close that’s still back in the day training.” For a sales leader who has worked with Grosso University since early in his career, the campus is proof that the company keeps raising the bar.

What contractors and partners are saying about Grosso University

The strongest case for any training company comes from the people who use it.

Christopher Noe, Founder and President of Renaissance Patio Products

Christopher Noe learned from Rick Grosso himself about 20 years ago. Those lessons became part of the foundation for his own success, including building a $10 million-plus construction company and later founding Renaissance Patio Products, a technology-driven outdoor living platform that helps contractors reduce errors, streamline engineering and improve sales presentations.

“What’s really impressed me is the fact that Dominic has radically modernized the sales system so that it’s no longer a Tin Man type approach like you would learn 20 years ago,” said Christopher Noe. “This is very much an up-to-date, low-pressure, however still first call close program. And that’s what’s really blown me away is the evolution of the process.”

Christopher Noe also explained why he chose to get involved with Grosso University again. “This was the impetus for a lot of what I’ve done in my life,” he said. “To come back now and get involved again is just an honor.”

He added that there is “not one single highly successful company that isn’t based on a sales foundation,” which is why he wants more Renaissance Patio Products dealers connected to Grosso University.

Metz Bizzell, Director of Partnerships at GreenSky

For Metz Bizzell, the partnership between GreenSky and Grosso University works because both companies want the same outcome for contractors.

“Dom is basically an extension of us and we’re an extension of him,” said Metz Bizzell. “We’re swimming the same stream to try to get folks to offer payment options in the home. It leads to more sales, higher close rates, higher ticket sizes, customers are happier about it. Meet them where they want to be met. It’s great. Dom’s training mirrors our training.”

Mike Biondino, Sales Manager at CAT Exteriors

Mike Biondino has known Dominic Caminata since first meeting him alongside Rick Grosso, and he has watched Grosso University grow into what he calls a “dominant force” in sales coaching.

“I go way back with them and in my infancy of my career,” said Mike Biondino. “I just love supporting it and I’m always learning. As we continue to grow, I’m always seeing what else that we can take and implement with the team and just continue to grow.”

He also summed up the mindset that Grosso University teaches better than almost anyone. “You can show up to a house and you can go, ‘Oh man, that’s going to be a $50,000 deal’ and talk yourself out of it, or you could sell and hit quota in one deal,” he said. “So, it’s the mind. You just got to get over it.”

The team that will bring the campus to life every day

A building is only as good as the people inside it. Dominic Caminata has built a leadership team that turns the vision of the Windsor Training Center into a daily experience for contractors.

That team includes Matt Burke, COO; Wendy Harmeyer, Spanish Development and Training Director; Daniel Coomes-Barry, Head Sales Trainer; Brett Naples, Executive Leader; and Kellie Caminata, who directs events and brand experience.

“Everything Dominic teaches about discipline, mindset, and leadership, he lives first,” said Matt Burke. “The culture here, the standards, the R.I.C.H. goals, the focus on health, contribution, and growth, exists because he leads from the front.”

“Dominic has a rare ability to see potential in people and help them believe it for themselves,” said Wendy Harmeyer. “That’s what makes him not just a great trainer, but a great leader.”

A campus that keeps people inspired, not just informed

Walk around the Grosso University campus and you will notice that it is not only about scripts and closing techniques. It is also about health, energy and personal growth.

The culture is built around R.I.C.H. Goals: Relationship, Income, Contribution, and Health and Well-Being.

“I truly want everybody to make optimizing their health and wellness their number one priority,” Dominic Caminata has told his team. “When people think Grosso University, I want them to think warrior. Health is your wealth. Take care of yourself.”

Dominic Caminata also has a clear answer when people ask about the number he watches most closely.

“You’re not going to like my answer, but it’s keeping people inspired. That’s my most important KPI,” he said. “If your team loves what they do, if they’ll take a bullet for you and they show up to work truly wanting to make a difference and they feel like what they do matters, the other KPIs will fall into place naturally on their own.”

The Windsor Training Center was built to protect that inspiration.

Welcoming remarks in English and Spanish, and why that says so much

One small detail of today’s celebration tells a big story. The Grand Opening will feature live welcoming remarks in both English and Spanish.

Under Dominic Caminata, Grosso University built a fully integrated Spanish-language in-home sales training platform, led by Wendy Harmeyer. It adapts the full 11-step methodology into Spanish and connects to the Sales Leadership Academy, so English-speaking managers can coach Spanish-speaking reps without blind spots.

“We launched our brand new Spanish sales training platform, the first of its kind in history,” Dominic Caminata said. “That had been a dream and vision of mine for a long time, and thanks to Wendy Harmeyer, she was able to make that dream a reality.”

Campamento de Ventas, the Spanish-language sales camp, returns to the campus on November 12 and 13, 2026, and the Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce joining today’s ribbon cutting is a fitting sign of that commitment.

Giving back on opening day: Tools for Tomorrow

Through the “Tools for Tomorrow” drive with Habitat for Humanity, attendees are encouraged to donate new or lightly used hand and power tools to support Habitat building projects for local families.

The idea fits the industry perfectly. Contractors know the value of a good set of tools better than anyone, and a stronger industry should also mean stronger neighborhoods. It also fits the “selfishly selfless” philosophy that Dominic Caminata has built his career on. Help others first, and success follows.

Why chambers of commerce and NARI are standing beside Grosso University today

Each organization at today’s ribbon cutting adds meaning to the moment. The Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce represents the regional economy Grosso University calls home. The DeForest Windsor Area Chamber of Commerce serves one of the fastest-growing areas of Dane County and welcomes a destination business that brings visitors from across the country into Windsor. The Wisconsin Latino Chamber of Commerce is a natural partner for a company leading Spanish-language sales training in home improvement.

NARI of Madison, Inc. works to strengthen professionalism in remodeling and build public trust, the same goal Grosso University pursues when it teaches reps to inspect honestly, explain clearly and present options professionally. Habitat for Humanity connects the day to service and housing for families in need.

A microphone for the industry: the Profits for Sanity Podcast Open Mic

Before the ribbon is cut, the campus opens another door. From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Profits for Sanity Podcast, hosted by Dominic Caminata, is hosting an Open Mic so contractors and business owners can share their stories live from the campus studio. In a recent episode, Dominic Caminata and Christopher Noe of Renaissance Patio Products talked about how systems and AI are transforming sales. With Grosso Studios built into the building, conversations like that can now reach the whole industry.

What the Training Center means for contractors

For contractors deciding where to invest in sales training, the Windsor campus brings five clear benefits.

  • Focus. Reps train away from their phones and pipelines, practice in role play and get direct feedback from the people who built the system.
  • Consistency. Training, content and live events happen in one place, so the message stays the same from the classroom to the online platform to the field.
  • Community. Contractors from different states share what works, compare numbers and build relationships that last.
  • Proof. Owners can walk through the doors, meet the team and watch the training happen before trusting a partner with their revenue.
  • Long-term confidence. A company that builds its own campus plans to be around for a long time.

What it means for the home improvement industry at large

The bigger story here is about professionalism.

For years, in-home sales has carried an image problem built on pushy reps, confusing prices and high-pressure closes. Grosso University has spent years proving that one-call closing and professionalism can live together. As Christopher Noe put it, the modern Grosso system is “up-to-date, low-pressure, however still first call close.” That approach helps homeowners make confident decisions while helping contractors protect their margins and close rates.

A dedicated campus raises that standard for everyone. It treats in-home sales as a true profession that deserves real training facilities, and it gives the industry a place to develop better salespeople, managers, owners and leaders.

“No matter how good you think you are, there’s always somebody better,” Dominic Caminata said. “Never get comfortable, never get complacent, always strive to get better and better. Keep an open mind, learn.”

Or, as he likes to put it more simply: “School is never out for the closer.”

Why Power100 sees this opening as proof of elite leadership

Power100‘s 5-layer system looks at performance, contractor outcomes, innovation, operational excellence and long-term value. Today’s opening touches all five: more than $500 million in sales generated by trained teams, more than 403 five-star reviews, a first-of-its-kind Spanish platform, a team that delivers online, on site and on campus, and a building designed to serve the industry for years.

At the center of it all is Dominic Caminata. His 2026 Business Elite’s 40 Under 40 award in New York confirmed his standing as a rising national business leader. He has described himself as “a heat-seeking missile that fails forward and makes course corrections along the way.” Since 2019 he has adjusted through a pandemic, added leadership training, Spanish-language training, recruiting support and now a campus, while the target stayed the same: help contractors and their people succeed.

What comes next: from 100 seats to a much bigger vision

Today’s opening is a milestone, not a finish line.

The current Training Center seats up to 100 guests. Dominic Caminata has already shared a bigger vision for the future: a location that could hold more than 500 people at a time as demand for in-person training continues to grow.

A FREE Live Hybrid Workshop takes place on November 4, 2026, both on campus and online. Campamento de Ventas follows on November 12 and 13, 2026. Closers Camp 2027 returns to the campus January 6 to 8, 2027, with more events planned through the year. Companies can also book the campus for their own meetings and team training.

“This is more than a ribbon cutting,” the Grosso University team said in announcing today’s celebration. “It’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Grosso University and the Home Improvement Industry.”

Power100 agrees. And for contractors looking for a partner that can help their teams sell better, lead better and grow with confidence, the doors in Windsor are now officially open.
